Bretonne waffles
Let’s travel a little bit.
This one is obviousely not from Belgium but the beautiful Bretagne, France.
The recipe doesn’t ask for a waffle maker, a skillet will suffize.
Unfortunately this recipe was not tested yet.
Easy recipe
Ingredients :
2 cups + 3tbsp wheat flour
1 liter water
1 tbsp sea salt
Lard
In a large bowl pour the flour, the salt give it a quick whisk.
Add the water slowly taking care not to make lumps.
Let the mixture rest overnight.
Use the lard to grease the skillet and proceed as making crepes.
You can garnish the waffles with your favorite cheeses or French cheeses such as Camenbert or Brie for instance, you also can garnish with ham and egg.
