Apple Cinnamon waffles

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbs baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled & grated
Preparation :
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and sugar. In a bowl, beat the eggs until thick about 4 mn. Add the oil, milk and grated apple. Add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture and stir until the batter is just combined. Don’t worry about the lumps. The batter will be thick, thin with a little milk if needed for your waffle maker. Let batter rest for 20 minutes if possible.
Cook in belgian style waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Serve with a dollop of chunky applesauce and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon along with the maple syrup.
